WotM First Trip 06/12/2012

Yahoooo....
This is the first trip being held by our WotM class.
Too bad some people could not join us.
Pray that we can join and commit ourselves in this activity, afterall it should be the lifestyle of ours :).

Sooo, for today's journey to the Bukit Bintang, the members were:
Kak Dicky Sudrajad, Irawan Chandra, Ce Ratna Dewi Salim, Maria Lawono, Zeruya Pangalila, Caesari Putri, Brian Adam and the writer *uhuk... me.

This is exciting!!!
Since the very first class, I struggled a lot to do this.
But I promised God to do whatever He wants me to, and being faithful in this 'Way of the Master' program is one of them.

I think, this trip is our 'another step of faith', to get out from our comfort zone and start reaching out :)
Moreover it is Jesus' will , Great Commission for ALL OF US.

Starting with praying after everything that might be our challenge (physically and spiritually), we split up and started to share the Words, two persons in a group.

People's responses were various indeed
Some welcomed us cheerfully, some did not
Some even promoted tracts to their friends and ask how to contact us
Some were interested with the Words which showed their longing to find out the truth
Some gave us unpredictable response
It's AMAAZZIIING (read: ehhhmeeejiingg)

This blog won't have enough space to describe amazing things we've been going through with God, as a team. So you can ask my friends (okay, and me) about the story ;).

Short story, we felt no regret, grateful instead, because we have begun another step of faith to do what He wants slowly but surely.

Anywayyy, I bought another pair of futsal shoes during this trip at Pavilion

I've been saving money to buy an ASICS futsal shoes (indoor futsal shoes).

Why ASICS? Because Sunesia's ex captain Mario Satya promoted it hahaha and after some researches, I found that ASICS were used by Japanese players since a long time ago.
Why did I buy a new one? Because my flat (and first) futsal shoes were broken, so it left me with my 2 pairs of turf futsal shoes :P.
Why blue? One of my favourite colours #justsaying

What's this INDOOR and TURF stuff?

God bless you, everyone :)

I'm sure that nothing's wrong with people who told me not to focus on something I haven't understood yet and nothing's wrong with the advice to 'be doer of God's Word' (that's what I've been telling to my friends anyway)

But satan used this sentence so that it would sound like this to me in my Bible reading time:
If you don't understand some verses, just skip them. Why do you need to be that serious, using many resources like websites or whatsoever? People from your previous generation didn't use them but they were able to understand God's Word, so you'll be fine not doing that. Don't stick on your only way of reading the Bible. Afterall, your focus is to be doer of God's Word, try to understand what you 'might' be able to.

Lambat laun, saya merasakan there's something missing in me (oke, ini bukan galau tentang pasangan hidup ya haha). Sabtu kemarin, 1/12/12, saya mencoba untuk mengambil komitmen membaca Alkitab dengan cara yang dulu selalu saya pakai, where I tried to chew verse by verse, sentence by sentence realllyyyy slowly, while reading some explanations, another translations or even using the Strong's concordance numbers.

Sunday morning, before service, I did this again and I began to realize: Hey, this is what I've been missing all this time. This is my way to enjoy my quality time with God, to enjoy His Word.

I think, that's my recent update
And here's what I currently read and study for my daily devotion: KEMURTADAN

S'bab Hanya Tuhan yang Membuat Sukacitaku Penuh

I and my friends, (because they are my faithful and hardworking friends in God, I'm gonna write their names one by one haha ;D): Brian Adam, Ko Kevin Giovani, Kevin CJ, Praust Pratama, Angelia Margaretha have been preparing for FGCC Doa Malam Ceria until 1 am
ps: I wrote this at 3 am on Friday morning and I was preparing myself before DMC

Then another PW Team members: Karissa Aprilia, Ce Yuriko Kesuma, Harry Rurianto, Yoel Febrian, Gloria Gracia, dan Yohanes Setiawan.
Keyboardist yang tiba2 muncul: Adi Pranata :P
Pemain Drama: Brian Adam (lagi), Ce Karina Novi, Caesari Putri dan Ce Yuriko Kesuma (juga lagi)
Preacher+Tim Acara: Kak Tama Eka, Ce Ratna Dewi, Ce Sarashwaty, Ruben Kartiko dan Natalia Giovani
Last but not least, the faithful Mr. FGCC Office: Ko Sandy Ijaya

I got so many wonderful people around me that're working together tirelessly. Thank you everyone for arranging, preparing and supporting this event :)

This one song stuck in my head (like veeeryy stuck haha): Sungai Sukacita, that's why I used part of it as my title. Reminded that His river of joy will flow through unstoppably.
During holiday, my fight to keep my faith has been through another up and down journeys. Gratefully, He grabbed my hands and strongly 'woke' me up to keep guarding my heart and life, moreoever relationship with Him.

This time, I planned to make a short post just for an update and share some news about my life recently (berasa artis) so I might take a look at my 2012 life trip in the end of the year and do some evaluation :D

Last thing, another daily devotion, a great message from 1 Timothy 4, with a title "The Great Apostasy" (NKJV)
You can read it by yourselves, but whay I want to highlight is the fact that Paul encouraged Timothy to "exercise yourself toward godliness(verse 7), because "bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come(verse 8)

Never fail to remind me over and over again

Last thing, 1 Tim 4:16
16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. (NIV)

Personally, it's another great encouragement to keep guarding my life, to test and examine what I teach or share to other people (impartation) and also to persevere in them.

Related with 1 Corinthians 9:27
27 but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

Disqualified: adokimos (96) has the idea of 'not standing the test' or 'not approved' (in Paul's letters: by Christ)

Let's be prepared in season and out of season, so that we are not refused by God after we do the works. Small things matter :)

ISCF Cup 2012

This time I played for ISCF Fresh, one of ISCF (host) teams
We lost to ISCF Spirit (1st place winner) after the qualification
and I got my right ankle injured, this (injury) is exciting for me because never even for once I was injured to this level. I mean, I played some crazy sports since I was in high school, american football (not literally, just tackling, falling and catching haha)
or  american flag football (played against some uncles *oops)
and supposedly injured pretty bad, like when I did a save when my opponent swung his strongest leg to kick the ball and hit my arm instead, many people thought I'd broken my arms
*skip

I'm proud of my teammates, who are still in their age of 15-16, one of my age, and 2 bapak2.
In the first games, we lost 2-0 to the 2nd place winner, scored a draw 0-0, won 1-0 and hence we passed the qualification, although we had to stop right after that.
Our journey was continued by ISCF Spirit who won 3-1 in the final, with one amazing, miraculous shot from Andro Natanael.
God's favour indeed, stay faithful in Him :)

This was fun, one of my unforgettable and unregrettable moments in my life
Thanks a lot to Christian Reinaldo, Ivan Aditya, Satya Angkasa, Alvincent Edlyn,Yunarko, Felix Jr. and Edbert
It was a really short time, but again, I (we: Me, Ril n Ibam) saw that you guys have a lot of potential
Don't stop polishing it
ISCF is not a perfect team, that's why we're still learning altogether
Build the next generation of solid, strong and powerful ISCF not only in skills but also in characters, with the right vision and mission given to us :)

I'm really thankful for some short conversations happened today, Nonie Marshella, Ibam, Ril n Natalia Giovani.
From Ril I learnt and was reminded more about 'focus and being a specialist in my area'
From Ibam, 'a new chapter'
From Nonie, 'unexplainable strength given to us'
From Vanie, 'keep walking forward under pressures'
aaanddd many more

I can't even tell every single things I learnt, heard and remembered from them, because their messages are way too many to be written here (worry not, I remember everything, our conversation will never be in vain huahahaha)

I'm glad that I'm not walking alone in this path shown to me :)
I'm happy there are people who are able to understand my suffering, burdens and feeling
I'm proud of having them as my friends
I'm grateful that God connects us all here, in FGCC, ISCF and any other communities

Continuing this story
Today was awesome, it's been raining cats and dogs for several days, but today, it rained right after we finished all scheduled matches
God is good :)

Thank you everyone for trusting Deo Nathaniel as the Project Manager, he's still young, you know, you should teach him more hahaha
To people I can't mention one by one, I'm really thanking you for holding and planning a really fun ISCF Futsal Cup and Bazaar 2012.
Thanks to all players, visitors, team supporters, sponsors who've given their supports for this event

Stay humble, keep learning, hungry for more
God be with us :)

GMB: Grup Makan Bersama

Hey everyone, recently I found a group of people who like to eat, beside our Fresh Com (Tea O Ice), Maju Jaya or Taylors (JeDi).
We started to have this 'assembly' when Ce Kher2 promoted her homemade cookies, sweets and cakes. Then I brought up some pempek (Palembang's traditional fish cake) and it turned out that Ce Yessy, whose mother from Palembang also had some in her stocks

Like several days ago, on Saturday 6th October 2012, we had this latest Food Fiesta at Ce Kher2's place, Lagoonview B-15-1, joined by 11 people (IF you include Nia who came late, so late that we've finished eating pempek)

Here are some photos captured and edited by Ce Kher2 (you can follow her on twitter: @carekher , because I'm not sure if I may promote her tumblr or not, hohoho)

My first tasting session of Ce Kher's Cinnamon Roll
First time in frying Pempek at Ce Kher's place,
I didn't know that I  was able to cook (fry) as well

We 'celebrated' his birthday right after having Food Fiesta
Testimony from Deo Nathaniel: "Trimakasih temen2 teoice yg setia dan menjualku kepada manusia2 tak berhati tadi"

Anddd, here are pictures that were taken by Ce Kher herself

FAVOR Live Worship

Yoooo, such a beautiful day, isn't it? :D

We just got back from Glad Tiding Church, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, to attend a live worship by Sidney Mohede and team

Thank you for Glad Tiding Church for the chance of this free-for-all worship night
I forgot to take pictures or to count how many people from FGCC that came, so forgive me with these all long texts

AWESOME is a one-simple-clear word to describe this event
I, together with my Fresh Com-mate, Krishna took a seat in the very front, right under the stage
Too bad, not all people were able to take this 'strategic' spot (their reasons might vary anyway haha)

My all-the-time favourite Worship Leader sang some songs, but a particular song really touched me that I shed tears while singing this

Jesus It Is You

WHO MAKES THE SUN TO RISE AND BRING THE EARTH NEW LIFE IN EVERY BEAM
JESUS IT IS YOU
WHO TURNS THE DAY TO NIGHT AND WATCHES ME AS I BEGIN TO DREAM
JESUS IT IS YOU
WHO BRINGS ME FOOD FOR MY TABLE, WHO CARES FOR ALL OF MY NEEDS
WHO WALKS THE ROAD WITH ME
HAS GROWN WITH ME THROUGH ALL THAT I HAVE BEEN
JESUS IT IS YOU, JESUS IT IS YOU

SO I LIFT MY HANDS AND I BRING MY SONG
ALL OF MY DAYS, ALL OF MY RIGHTS, ALL OF MY WRONGS
I OFFER MY LIFE, HERE AND BEYOND
TO THE ONE THING TRUE, JESUS IT IS YOU

WHO SEES MY BROKENNESS AND CARRIES ME WHEN I AM FRAIL AND WEAK
JESUS IT IS YOU
WHO TELLS THE STORM TO REST WHEN I AM OVERWHELMED AND CANNOT SPEAK
JESUS IT IS YOU
WHO WEARS MY GUILT ON HIS SHOULDERS, WHO HOLDS MY HEART IN HIS HANDS
WHO TAKES MY THOUGHTS AND FEARS AND HANGS THEM ON THE ARMS OF CALVARY
JESUS IT IS YOU, JESUS IT IS YOU

This song sort of brings me to understand the writer's life together with God and certainly brings me to see my life over and over again
At the time this song was sung, I prayed to invite God to touch my life more, I don't want to be someone who 'get used to' feel God's presence until I feel nothing at all
Because entering God's presence is filled with sense of awe, fear of the LORD and peace

I learnt once again about what're needed to be a God's servant, especially as a Worship Leader
I want to know Him deeper, walk with Him all the time and enjoy every moment I spend with Him
Romantic? Yes, because Jesus is the most romantic person I've ever met

Why J-Pop?

Alright, this is one of my favourite genres all the time
I spent my childhood singing almost all anime's OST (dubbed in Indonesian) together my friends.
During Junior High, I met a genius, named Oktoviano Gandhi (currently he's studying Physics at Oxford) and some otakus: William Kusuma, Secilia Erwanda, Venni Astria and the one who made me involved more with all the anime's collections, Ellyana Wijaya
or there might be others but my memory tried to fool me *skip

I learnt some of Japanese Version of those OSTs by playing them over and over again with my Nokia 6600. I was kind of proud of having this phone.
You know, in my era cellphones are not for all kids (except who studied at 'high class' schools such as Xaverius) *berasa tua

Short story, I'm mostly interested in J-Pop, some bands have a big impact in my music life (huahaha), like Ajikan (Asian Kung Fu Generation) who sings Haruka Kanata (Naruto), Rewrite (Fullmetal Alchemist)
Orange Range: Viva Rock (Naruto), Asterisk (Bleach)
Flow: Go!!! (Naruto)
And I started to do more researches about them and hence made me an J-Pop otaku (some people called me that, but I know I'm not really an otaku *selfdenial)

You should listen to their songs, I mean it
For an example, songs from Orange Range
Kizuna, this songs tell about bond (kizuna), with friends and family, MV was made at a small village.
Music is a combination of modern instrument with a Japanese traditional instrument (played by Hokama Hiroki, the mid-vocal Vocalist)
Hana, SP Thanx, Rakuyou also give the same vibes, soft and melancholic songs  made me nostalgic about my first love during senior high

Too bad that youtube has deleted almost all of my fav videos due to copyright :(

That's about one aspect of the musical influences in my life
-end-

ps: 2 paragraphs of nostalgia (you can skip this part if you want)
Sometimes these songs remind me of warm feeling at my childhood, when I received my 6600 (which then lost due to robbery), moments of 'suntik lagu2 anime', kirim foto lewat bluetooth, playing bomber arena with my classmates via bluetooth, the moment I was (we were) astonished by anime, manga, japanese musics, bonds with my classmates, especially Aksel at Xaverius 1
Of course not everytime I hear these songs :P

I looked back at my past, I lived a funny, good, sad, naive, exciting life. I apologized to people I'd let down, and I've been moving on till now.
Thank you to people I met years ago, you taught me many things
Cherish your memories, keep calm and listen to J-Pop songs haha

Fresh Youth 2012/09/30

For those who came to Fresh Youth on 30th September might have a rough idea of what I'm going to write right now hahaha

Alright, it's simple a shocking, confusing yet fun service I've had :P
Something happened RIGHT BEFORE the service, during our last check at The Vine Sanctuary
More or less it affected me
I prayed so that it wouldn't bring us down in serving Him

Buutttt,yes... I was influenced by it
So, the first song, Sukacita Surga after interlude part, we were supposed to have an overtune
Strangely, really... Never happened before to me actually, I took a wrong notes.
I took half note higher while the right one was one note higher
Musicians were also shocked by this development, some played in the right chords, some tried to figure out what tune we (singers) were singing

Praise the Lord, I didn't mess up the other 3 songs
During the sermon, I kept praying, asking God to help me with this situation
My head filled with some solutions I've come up with
One of them is to have an evaluation after service and told our Worship Team roughly about what has happened before service so that it won't happen again
But there'll be someone's offended that way

Then I kept praying and praying, "God, please help me, give me Your solution, I don't want to be a 'judge', I admit that I made a mistake and have no right to blame anyone even though it might be their mistakes"
God answered me right away, before the sermon even ended
He told me:

A Worship Leader is leading one big family (church), and in order to improve in leading worship, you have to accept them as your family. In OUR family, you can openly apologize without being 'condemned', family needs to know you as who you are. No need to 'jaim' (jaga image, sorry I don't know English term for this :P)

After sermon and news, I conveyed some messages about worshipping God all-out
And also that I apologized for singing in wrong chords (in my own style of course ;) )
Instead of feeling ashamed, I felt happy
God gave me a solution that doesn't need to hurt anybody, and it even built our Worship Team and Family  an even stronger bond

I wrote this not to justify my mistakes, nor a person's (if you read this, I've forgiven you at the moment you admitted your mistakes last time). It's just we have to be grow up, stay humble and stay connected with Him in everything we do

GOD is much wiser than I am
I am blessed to have a GOD, Friend and Father like You :)
